WHY THEN THE LAW OF MOSES?

NAILED TO THE CROSS

Exodus 31

18 And He gave to Moses, 

when He had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, 

THE TWO TABLETS OF 

—>THE TESTIMONY, 

TABLETS OF STONE, 

—>WRITTEN WITH

THE FINGER OF GOD. 

 

Deuteronomy 5

22 These words YeHoVaH 

—>SPOKE 

to all your assembly at the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; 

—>AND HE ADDED NO MORE. 

—>AND HE WROTE THEM ON

—>TWO TABLETS OF STONE 

and gave them to me. 

 

Deuteronomy 9

9 When I went up the mountain to receive 

—>THE TABLETS OF STONE, 

—>THE TABLETS OF 

—>THE COVENANT 

that YeHoVaH made with you, I remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.

10 And YeHoVaH gave me 

—>THE TWO TABLETS OF STONE 

—>WRITTEN WITH

THE FINGER OF GOD, 

and on them were 

—>ALL THE WORDS 

that YeHoVaH had 

—>SPOKEN 

with you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly.

11 And at the end of forty days and forty nights YeHoVaH gave me 

—>THE TWO TABLETS OF STONE, 

—>THE TABLETS OF THE COVENANT 

12 Then YeHoVaH said to me, 'Arise, go down quickly from here, for your people whom you have brought from Egypt have acted corruptly. 

They have turned aside quickly out of the way that I commanded them; 

they have made themselves a metal image.' 

17 So I took hold of 

—>THE TWO TABLETS 

and threw them out of my two hands and broke them before your eyes. 

 

Deuteronomy 10

1 "At that time YeHoVaH said to me, 'Cut for yourself 

—>TWO TABLETS OF STONE

LIKE THE FIRST, 

and come up to me on the mountain and make an ark of wood.

2 —>AND I WILL WRITE ON THE TABLETS

THE WORDS THAT WERE ON

THE FIRST TABLETS 

that you broke, and you shall put them 

—>IN THE ARK.'

3 So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut 

—>TWO TABLETS OF STONE

LIKE THE FIRST, 

and went up the mountain with 

—>THE TWO TABLETS 

in my hand.

4 —>AND HE WROTE ON THE TABLETS, 

—>IN THE SAME WRITING AS BEFORE, 

—>THE TEN COMMANDMENTS 

that YeHoVaH had 

—>SPOKEN 

to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly. 

And YeHoVaH gave them to me.

5 Then I turned and came down from the mountain and put 

—>THE TABLETS IN THE ARK

THAT I HAD MADE. 

And there they are, 

as YeHoVaH commanded me." 

 

Deuteronomy 31

24 When 

—>MOSES HAD FINISHED  

—>WRITING THE WORDS OF 

—>THIS LAW [of Moses] 

—>IN A BOOK 

to the very end,

25 Moses commanded the Levites who carried 

—>THE ARK OF 

THE COVENANT OF THE LORD,

[THE 10 COMMANDMENTS]

26 "Take 

—>THIS BOOK OF 

THE LAW [of Moses]  

and put it 

—>BESIDE THE ARK OF 

THE COVENANT OF 

YeHoVaH YOUR GOD, 

—>THAT IT MAY BE THERE

AS A WITNESS AGAINST YOU. 

 

1 Kings 8

9 There was nothing in 

THE ARK except 

—>THE TWO TABLETS OF STONE

that Moses put there at Horeb, 

where YeHoVaH made a 

—>COVENANT

with the people of Israel, 

when they came out of Egypt. 

(2 Chronicles 5:10)

 

Jeremiah 31

33 For this is 

—>THE COVENANT 

that I will make with The House of Israel after those days, declares YeHoVaH: I will put 

—>MY LAW within them, and 

—>I WILL WRITE IT 

on their HEARTS. 

And I will be their God, 

and they shall be my people. 

 

2 Corinthians 3 [1-18]

2 You yourselves are our letter, 

—>HAVING BEEN WRITTEN 

ON OUR HEARTS, 

being known and read by all men.

3 being revealed that you are

a letter from The Messiah

having been ministered to by us, 

—>HAVING BEEN WRITTEN 

NOT WITH INK BUT WITH

THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD, 

—>NOT ON TABLETS OF STONE  

BUT ON TABLETS OF FLESHY HEARTS.

4 and we have such confidence through The Messiah toward God.

5 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to reckon anything as from us, but our sufficiency is from God,

6 who also has made us sufficient ministers of a 

—>NEW COVENANT, 

NOT OF THE LETTER

BUT OF THE SPIRIT. 

For the letter kills, 

but The Spirit gives life.

7 Now if the ministry of death, 

having been engraved 

in letters on stones, 

came with such glory that  

The Israelites could not gaze 

into the face of Moses because of 

the glory of his face, 

—>WHICH WAS BEING 

[καταργέω] ABOLISHED,

8 how will the ministry of The Spirit not be more in glory?

9 For if glory was in the ministry of condemnation,

—>MUCH MORE GLORY 

abounds the ministry of righteousness.

10 and indeed, that having been made glorious has not been glorified in this case, on account of 

—>THE SURPASSING GLORY.

11 For if

—>WHAT WAS BEING 

[καταργέω] ABOLISHED 

was through glory, 

—>MUCH MORE IS THAT 

ENDURING IN GLORY.

12 Therefore, having such a hope, 

we use boldness

13 not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of 

—>WHAT WAS BEING 

[καταργέω] ABOLISHED

14 But 

—>THEIR MINDS WERE HARDENED. 

For to this day, 

the same veil remains,

not being lifted,

upon reading 

—>THE OLD COVENANT, 

—>THAT IS 

[καταργέω] ABOLISHED 

BY THE MESSIAH 

15 but to this day 

whenever Moses is read 

a veil lies over their hearts.

16 and at which time 

—>IF ONE TURNS TO THE LORD, 

THE VEIL IS REMOVED.

17 Now The Lord is The Spirit, 

and where The Spirit of the Lord is, 

there is Liberty.

18 And we all, with unveiled face, reflecting the glory of The Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as Spirit from The Lord. 

 

Ephesians 2

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Yeshua The Messiah for 

—>[ἀγαθός] GOOD WORKS, 

which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called "the uncircumcision" by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands-

12 remember that you were at that time separated from The Messiah, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

13 But now in Yeshua The Messiah you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of The Messiah.

14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility

15 by 

—>[καταργέω] ABOLISHING 

THE LAW OF COMMANDMENTS 

EXPRESSED IN ORDINANCES, 

that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace

 

Colossians 2

11 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of The Messiah,

12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.

13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

14 HAVING BLOTTED OUT 

—>THE HANDWRITTEN 

ORDINANCES AGAINST US

WHICH WAS SET AGAINST US, 

AND HE HAS LIFTED IT 

FROM OUT OF THE MIDST, 

HAVING NAILED IT TO THE CROSS.

15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. 

 

Hebrews 8

4 Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts according to The Law [of Moses].

5 They serve a 

—>COPY AND SHADOW 

of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, "See that you make everything according to 

—>THE PATTERN 

that was shown you on the mountain."

6 Now also, He has obtained a more excellent ministry as much as He is The Mediator of a 

—>BETTER COVENANT, 

which has been legislated on 

—>BETTER PROMISES.

7 For if that first 

had been blameless, 

—>NO PLACE 

WOULD HAVE BEEN SOUGHT 

FOR A SECOND

8 For finding blame with them He says: 

"Behold, the days are coming, declares The Lord, when I will make a 

—>NEW COVENANT 

with The House of Israel and 

with The House of Judah, 

9 not according to The Covenant that I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not continue in My Covenant, and I disregarded them, declares The Lord. 

10 For this is The Covenant that I will make with The House of Israel after those days, declares The Lord: 

Putting My Laws into their mind, and 

—>I WILL WRITE  

them upon their hearts, 

I will be their God, and 

they will be my people. 

11 And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. 

12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." 

13 In saying, 

—>“NEW”, 

—>HE HAS MADE THE FIRST OLD. 

—>AND THAT WHICH IS GROWING OLD 

 AND AGING IS NEAR A VANISHING. 

 

Hebrews 9

1 Now even The First had ORDINANCES for worship and an earthly place of holiness.

2 For a 

Tent was prepared, 

The First Section, 

in which were 

The Lampstand and 

The Table and 

The Bread of The Presence. 

It is called The Holy Place.

3 Behind The Second Curtain was a 

Second Section called 

The Most Holy Place,

4 having 

The Golden Altar of Incense and 

The Ark of The Covenant 

covered on all sides with gold, 

in which was a 

Golden Urn holding 

The Manna, and 

Aaron's Staff that Budded, and 

The Tablets of The Covenant.

5 Above it were 

The Cherubim of Glory overshadowing 

The Mercy Seat. 

Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

6 These preparations having thus been made, 

The Priests go regularly into 

The First Section, performing their ritual duties,

7 but into The Second only The High Priest goes, and he but once a year, and not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people.

8 By this The Holy Spirit indicates that 

the way into The Holy Places is 

not yet opened as long as 

The First Section is still standing

9 (which is symbolic for the present age). 

According to this arrangement, 

gifts and sacrifices are offered 

that cannot perfect 

the conscience of the worshiper,

10 but deal only with 

food and drink and various washings, 

ORDINANCES for the body imposed 

—>UNTIL 

THE TIME OF REFORMATION. 

 

Galatians 3

15 To give a human example, brothers: even with a man-made covenant, no one annuls it or adds to it once it has been ratified.

16 Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, "And to offsprings," referring to many, but referring to one, 

—>"AND TO YOUR OFFSPRING”, 

—>WHO IS THE MESSIAH.

17 This is what I mean: The Law [of Moses], which came 430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to  

[καταργέω] ABOLISH

the promise.

18 For if the inheritance comes by The Law [of Moses], it no longer comes by promise; but God gave it to Abraham by a promise.

19 WHY THEN THE LAW [OF MOSES]? 

 

—>IT WAS ADDED 

—>BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSIONS

—>UNTIL

—>THE OFFSPRING [THE MESSIAH] 

—>SHOULD HAVE COME TO WHOM 

THE PROMISE HAD BEEN MADE

having been ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

20 Now a mediator implies more than one, but God is One.

21 Is The Law [of Moses] then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by The Law [of Moses].

22 But The Scripture imprisoned everything under Sin [Breaking The 10 Commandments], so that the promise by Faith in Yeshua The Messiah might be given to those who believe [Deuteronomy 18].

23 Now before Faith [The Messiah] came, we were held captive under The Law [of Moses], imprisoned 

—>UNTIL

The Coming Faith [The Living Torah Himself] would be revealed.

24 So then, The Law [of Moses] was our guardian 

—>UNTIL

The Messiah, in order that we might be justified by Faith [Deuteronomy 18].

25 and having come Faith [The Messiah], 

—>WE ARE NO LONGER

UNDER A GUARDIAN

[The Law of Moses]

26 for in Yeshua The Messiah you are all children of God, through faith

[Deuteronomy 18]

27 For as many of you as were 

—>BAPTIZED INTO THE MESSIAH 

HAVE PUT ON THE MESSIAH.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Yeshua The Messiah.

29 And if you are The Messiah’s, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. 

 

Matthew 5

17 "Do not think that I have come to destroy 

The Law [of Moses] or The Prophets; 

I have not come to destroy them but to 

—>FULFILL them.

18 For truly, I say to you, 

until heaven and earth pass away, 

not an iota, not a dot, will 

—>PASS AWAY

 from The Law 

[of Moses, Psalms, Prophets]

—>UNTIL 

—>EVERYTHING

SHOULD COME TO PASS.

After YeHoVaH Spoke
