GOOD, WELL-PLEASING, AND PERFECT

Romans 12

2 Do not be conformed to this present tense, 

but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, 

to prove for yourself what is 

THE WILL OF GOD, 

GOOD [ἀγαθός, agathos]

AND 

WELL-PLEASING [εὐάρεστος, euarestos]

AND

PERFECT [τέλειος, teleios].

The Will of God is 

Good, 

Well-Pleasing, and 

Perfect in 

Romans 12:2.

What is GOOD [AGATHOS]?

 

A:

Romans 7

7 What then shall we say? 

That THE LAW is Sin? 

By no means! 

Yet if it had not been for THE LAW, 

I would not have known Sin. 

For I would not have known what it is 

TO COVET IF THE LAW had not said, 

“YOU SHALL NOT COVET."

12 So indeed THE LAW IS HOLY, 

AND THE COMMANDMENT IS HOLY 

AND RIGHTEOUS 

AND GOOD [ἀγαθός, AGATHOS].

Which Law is Paul referring to in Romans 7:7-12?

 

A:

The Law that includes “You Shall Not Covet”— The 10 Commandments:

 

Matthew 19

16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what  

—>GOOD [ἀγαθός, AGATHOS] 

must I DO to have Eternal Life?"

17 And He said to him, 

“Why do you ask me about what is 

—>GOOD [ἀγαθός, AGATHOS]? 

—>ONLY ONE is 

—>GOOD [ἀγαθός, AGATHOS]. 

Therefore, 

IF you desire to enter LIFE, 

KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS."

18 He said to him, 

—>”WHICH ONES?" 

And Yeshua said, 

“YOU SHALL NOT MURDER, 

YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, 

YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, 

YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS,

19 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER, 

and so You shall 

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR as yourself."

THE GOOD [AGATHOS] LAW.

Eternal Life by means of

Romans 12:2,

2 Corinthians 9

8 And God is able to make 

ALL GRACE abound to you, 

—>SO THAT

HAVING ALL SUFFICIENCY 

IN ALL THINGS 

AT ALL TIMES, 

YOU MAY ABOUND IN EVERY 

GOOD [AGATHOS] WORK.

9 As it is written, 

“He has distributed FREELY, 

He has given to the poor; 

his righteousness endures forever." 

10 He who supplies SEED to The Sower 

and BREAD for food 

will supply and multiply your 

seed for sowing and increase 

the harvest of your righteousness.

Is THE GOOD [AGATHOS] LAW of 

The 10 Commandments also 

Well-Pleasing so as to reveal 

The Will of God?

Hebrews 13

20 Now may the God of peace 

who brought again from the dead 

our Lord Yeshua, 

the great shepherd of the sheep, 

by the blood of 

THE ETERNAL COVENANT,

21 —>PERFECT you with everything 

—>GOOD [AGATHOS] SO AS TO 

—>DO HIS WILL, 

WORKING IN US THAT WHICH IS 

—>WELL-PLEASING [EUARESTOS] 

in his presence,

through Yeshua The Messiah, 

to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. 

 

NOTE:

The God of Peace PERFECTS us with 

The GOOD [AGATHOS] Law of 

The 10 Commandments, so as to 

DO HIS WILL in 

Hebrews 13:20-21, which 

WORKS in us that which is 

WELL-PLEASING [EUARESTOS] in 

His presence in

Hebrews 13:20-21.

If God PERFECTS us with 

The GOOD [AGATHOS] Law of 

The 10 Commandments as per 

Matthew 19:16-19, so as to 

DO HIS WILL as per 

Hebrews 13:20-21, which is

James 1

being no hearer who forgets but a

he will be blessed in his doing.

Romans 2

6 He will render to each one according to his works:

7 indeed Eternal Life to those who 

—>ENDURE GOOD [AGATHOS] WORK,

desiring glory and honor and immortality;

8 but for those who are self-seeking and 

do not obey The Truth, but obey unrighteousness, 

there will be wrath and fury.

9 There will be tribulation and distress 

for every human being who does evil, 

the Jew first and also the Greek,

10 but glory and honor and peace 

for everyone who does 

—>GOOD [AGATHOS], 

The Jew first and also The Greek.

11 For God shows no partiality. 

12 For as many as have sinned lawlessly 

will also perish lawlessly, 

and as many as have sinned under The Law

will be judged by The Law

13 For it is 

—>NOT THE HEARERS 

of The Law who are righteous before God, 

—>BUT THE DOERS 

of The Law who will be justified.

 

May we continue in The Will of God, 

which is His 10 Commandments, 

which are 

Good, and 

Well-Pleasing, and 

Prefect.
